Algarve hotel/apartments recs

can anyone recommend a good hotel or apartments in the Algarve please? Looking for somewhere not too long a transfer from Faro airport, walking distance to a beach. Just going myself for a few days relaxation so ideally somewhere with some bars and restaurants to wander too. There seems to be a lot of options in Albufeira, open to surrounding areas too. Just finding some
of the reviews quite mixed so far. I’m not particularly fussy and won’t be eating in the hotel just somewhere nice and clean with a balcony for night times

Albufeira is a bit party central these days, but close to there I’d recommend Olhos d’Agua , Falesia, Vilamoura…all within 45 minutes of Faro airport. About 14 mins further on from the airport I’d recommend Carvoeiro. I can’t recommend hotels as I always go to a villa, but they might give you an idea of places to start your search.

We stayed at Monte Dourado apartments in Carvoero. Lots of pools to choose from, self catering, beach & main town is about a 5 minute walk

What’s your budget? We stayed in vale do lobo 20 mins from airport and walk to the beach with a few restaurants at the praca and a supermarket at the entrance

I’ll check out Carvoeiro thanks. Budget around £1k max just as likely self catering or B&Breakfast. 4 or 5 nights
