Coming back from holiday and already thinking of next one.

So far have been away overseas 5 times this year; some of the holidays I worked part time while away. I just came back from holidays and already thinking if next one.

What is wrong with me? Am I hyperactive? Perhaps not fully settled in the UK? DH and I are from
overseas, different continents so we do visit family in both countries.

Our life here is good. I hate winter and suffer from SAD, so this is the time when I go a bit more crazy booking holidays. I don’t particularly love my job, but there are lots of advantages to it.

Do other people feel similar? When I was a child I wanted to be a flight attendant/cabin crew so I guess the travel bug has always been there. I wouldn’t like that job now though. I also found it fascinating reading about other countries.

This is totally normal for many people, theres nothing wrong with you :).

I'm the same but surrounded by people who look forward to returning home from their holidays!

This is totally normal. We always have the next trip booked.

I am glad to hear. I guess I just love new experiences, food, places, experience other cultures and getting out of the day to day routine.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong. Some people just love travelling/holidays! You’re lucky that you can combine them with work if it means you can go away more.

There’s just too many places to go!!

I don’t travel as often as you typically, but I still usually have the next holiday mentally planned out, if not booked, by the time I go away anywhere. I am an early booker and planner. For me a big part of the pleasure of travelling is the planning and research beforehand.

Normal.
We very often ( about 95% of the time) book our next holiday whilst either sat on the beach or in a restaurant whilst on holiday!

We went abroad in March, April and June, another six weeks until our next trip and it has felt like an eternity. Not that I’m counting down the days of course 😁

This is us. Three booked over next five months and know exactly when I want to add another two.

Always have at least one more holiday booked before you come back from an existing holiday is my goal! Gives you something to look forward to, and you get a better deal - or at least more choice - if you book further in advance. We are just back from our summer holiday and I’ve already got a trip at Christmas booked. Wanted to have a long weekend away for October half term already booked too by now but waiting for my DH to know about a work trip. About to start figuring out Easter next year, and whether we want a weekend away at Feb half term.

If you are someone who takes joy from experiences much more than buying stuff, and can afford it, why not? One of the main reasons I moves to the UK is all the amazing short trips you can have in the U.K. plus the proximity to Europe for travel.

We always have at least 12 months of holidays booked - currently have 5 booked from now to Sept 27.
i love to have that to look forward to, definitely stops the post holiday blues and booking that far in advance saves us a lot of money too!
