How to rank UK holiday parks?

We've never been ones to do holiday parks, but with 3 small children we're thinking it might be a good option to have activities and pool nearby without having to drive everywhere. My question is, how would you rank them in terms of quality and niceness?

Center Parcs would obviously be at the top, but how about Haven, Park Dean, Bluestone, Hoseasons, Butlins, Pontins? And any others we should be aware of?

Butlins! Everything that's not Butlins!

You kind of get what you pay for but there’s also a split between inland /woodland parks that tend to be centred around pool complexes / sports and seaside parks which whilst they have pools and sports tend to have extensive entertainment facilities centring around a clubhouse.

Mostly you have “acceptable middle class parks” and everything else. But honestly it’s fashion mostly and not wanting to mix with the wrong kids

I cannot recommend Butlins enough it's fantastic for kids and also not ££££.

Haven is also good but costs more money and sometimes feels like not that much of a holiday as I am still cooking!

Seal Bay was also nice!

Parkdean and pontins i think have gone downhill in recent years.

Look at the reviews and see what they say.

If you start a thread on mn about where you’d like to go and what you want at the park etc, then people will suggest suitable parks for you.

Bluestone is Centre Parcs standard and is priced as such.

Do Hoeseasons run their own sites? I think they are a booking agent, you can book Park Dean and Haven through them.

I have no experience of Park Dean but Haven is good, they are decent all round but the big strength is the entertainment, they do pantos, cabaret, all sorts. Again not a bargain.

Butlins is cheap and cheerful, expect it to be a bit rough around the edges but kids will love it. Pontins is just bad these days.

Hoburne is great for little ones

They are all quite different really so it depends what you value in a holiday and it also depends to some extent on the grade of accommodation you choose at the park.
For example, center parcs most basic accommodation is on a par with butlins premium.
I Wouid put Haven below CP/Butlins as the entertainment and pools don’t really compare, although some of the parks and accommodation are lovely if you prefer a quieter vibe. Park Dean tend to be smaller parks and often not as well maintained as haven IMO. Hoseasons are just a broker I think, a bit like Sykes cottages?
We’ve had great holidays at all of them but although CP is the most middle class I think it’s the worst value for money!
