We’re thinking if going on holiday for Christmas (next). Me and DH and grown up adult children and their partners.

Where is good? First place that pops into our heads is the Caribbean islands.

Maybe a cruise?

At Xmas a family trips we have been to Finland, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Whistler, Costa Rica, India

Depends what you want really. We are all active and like to be on the go. My 80+ FIL loved the zip lines in CR and a moped in Vietnam. DC loved them all too.

European city break - Rome, Venice, Vienna and Amsterdam all fab at Christmas. There is nothing better than spending Xmas Day in a museum or gallery!

I’ve done Christmas in the carribean on a bare boat charter. It was lovely but lots of stuff closed for quite a long time and I was cooking on basically a caravan oven.

We did Mexico over Christmas about 7 year ago, just me & DH.

It had plenty of families staying, definitely more parents with adults children/partners compared to families with young children.

It was a large resort & they kept one of the restaurants themed to Christmas on the 24th/25th and the had subtle decorations within the hotel during our stay.

As others had said it all depends on what you want from the break, are you looking at just doing “Christmas” abroad or are you all wanting to escape?

can you ski? Christmas in the mountains is wonderful
