Flying Thomas Cook soon for four hours with dh, toddler and baby - worth paying for seats together?

When I booked this flight I couldn't imagine that they would want my son bothering anyone but us (dd will be on my knee anyway), but am starting to get cold feet! Any experiences/ thoughts? Should I go online and pay now?

Definitely! Had an awful experience recently on long haul when they split me, hubby and our 3 under 4 all up. It was hell. Half way through the flight I demanded the stewards to move people so we could sit together or I would let the kids run riot and ruin the flight for everyone!. I would never fly again without spending the extra to book seats together.!

Wow - love the idea of you unleashing the kids to run riot! Sounds like a bit of an ordeal, tho.

My dh, dd and I just came back from 2 weeks in Majorca with Thomas Cook. We didn't pay to sit together but we were seated together both ways anyway.

If I'd thought about it beforehand, though, I'd probably have paid to be absolutely certain cos the idea of us being split up would be a nightmare. I hugely resent having to pay extra for it, though.

Thanks, MsHighwater; we were very cavalier back when we booked, but less so now as the date draws near...

What is it with the fecking airlines. Used to be you either had an allocated seat, or they let families with kids on the plane first to get settled...Nowadays it's just an excuse to make more cash out of people. I'd rather they just charged a proper fare and you can take it or leave it....

I think for your own personal sanity you should pay
