Advice on Tui Lapland clothing hire and arrival process

Hoping to get some advice from anyone who has been on a Tui Lapland holiday. We are going in December, kindly purchased by my parents. It states that clothing is given to you there when you arrive (presumably snow boots, waterproof trousers and coat). Anyone been and can tell me more about this? I have a very sensory aware daughter, so I am debating whether to just buy our own and take it - she will want to know it’s clean, the colour options, the fit has to be right. I am expecting many flights arriving and can envisage carnage trying to get this clothing. I would love to understand the process a little more please! Thank you so much

We went with Canterbury xmas just gone.
I imagine its the same set up...
Racks of snow suits and boots. They look at you chuck you the right size, ask your shoe size and off you go.
They said to take your own hats/ scarves/ gloves etc (we did) but they had all the boxes of stuff if you need it.

There isn't a lot of discussion. I presumed it was clean. It goes over your thermal layers and coat etc so never touches skin...

How different is it from ski wear please?
I was wondering whether we could take our ski jackets and salopettes or whether the provided clothing is designed for a while other level of cold…

I've done a TUI Lapland holiday. Yes, the clothes part is pretty chaotic

We went a few years ago, for me it’s much thicker than ski wear it hit minus 30 when we were there in early Dec, my eyelashes froze. I have never skied in anything close to that temp.

You need 3 thin layers at least, then their jump suit over the top, some have hoods, some don’t, we took hats etc, they give you gloves too (we wore ours underneath). If you buy it, it has to be the proper kit.

You line up and they look at you and give you the sort of the right size and they ask for shoe size, the suits were clean. There were limited suits in the hotel too as we had to change my son’s suit as it was too big.

All that aside it was one of my best holidays the kids had never seen snow they could jump in and almost disappear- we had children’s entertainment in our hotel they were out all the time doing snowball fights/ hide and seek etc… and we saw the Northern lights.

Thank you, maybe buying ahead then isn’t worth it as I doubt I’d buy something warm enough. I’ve never been skiing or anything before, so these kind of temperatures are new for me. Do you need to take your own coat to wear underneath?

Any other advice about any part of the trip? We are doing 3 nights and want to get the most out of it!

We went to Ruka in February -30 - Skiing. I had to buy a new ski jacket as mine (a good brand) just didn't cut it, even with layers on. Not sure of temps in December but definitely a padded jacket was really essential

We went with TUI about 8 years ago and for us it was very organised and efficient. After collecting our luggage we went to an outdoor marquee and followed a route round collecting shoes, gloves (take your own glove liners) and suit. The reps ask for shoe size but they just go off looking at you for suit size. (The suits were all clean and neutral smelling. Like PP say because you're wearing your own layers the suits don't touch your skin) Then it's straight to your coach....although I don't remember carrying it all but we must have? I also don't remember feeling cold on the very short walk between airport terminal to marquee to coach although it was snowing and a minus temp. It's all so exciting and the reps are dressed as elves and singing so it's a really lovely atmosphere.
I did buy us all ski jackets so we had warm coats with decent hoods on arrival and I got the kids some lined snow boots all very cheap from places like sports direct and Aldi. We did wear their snow suits but our own footwear just because they were comfier no other reason.
Might be worth finding photos on line so she can see what the suits look like? There will be loads of YouTube videos too.

It was a great holiday. We weren't in the busy area - we were pretty remote. Flew into Kittila.

There is a day of free activities where you do a husky ride and a quad thing. I honestly wouldn't bother booking the longer sessions, they are expensive and it's pretty tiring wallowing around int he snow!!
Our hotel had set up a sledging slope and that was brilliant!! We had so much fun.
The Christmas night is great and the 'elves' were so much fun. And meeting Santa was great too.
Honestly, you will have a good time

Clothes wise - layers! Get good base layers and socks and be prepared for getting dressed to go outside to take ages!!
We went when it was polar winter so never saw the sun rise. And we were lucky to see the northern lights. Get the aurora app so you get alerted

Base layers - will sort these out now then, layers and warm coats and underlayer gloves. I’m so excited, but want to ensure any issues for my autistic ADHD daughter can be pre-empted to help her have a good time too. I wasn’t going to book the extra trips, at £178pp that’s beyond extortionate!!!! We are next to a ski slope, so hoping they have tubing or similar for the kids on a free day.

100% wool socks - wear your own then the wool over the top makes a huge difference
Disposable hand and foot warmers from Amazon
Snoods are also very helpful to protect your face
I also liked having a pair of fleece lined leggings, my normal winter boots and a ‘normal’ long warm puffer coat to wear for quick trips when I couldn’t be arsed to put on the full snow suit. But I owned all those things anyway so didn’t need to buy new.
