There is a big birthday next year but the person being celebrated really doesn't like to be the centre of attention / big parties etc.

One thought is to go away and spend the time/money relaxing instead.

But this would mean rather a large set up with at least 8 folk of varying ages coming.

Late teens to fifties plus partners.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a large villa or apartment complex which has a pool, is relatively quiet but near some night life for the 'kids' to go off to in the evening.

Preferably near the coast/flat for walking etc.

We like the balearics and greece but happy with any/all suggestions.

Many thanks!

Menorca, walkable, proper quiet, but villages nearby for the kids to head out. Greece: Crete or Naxos are good.
If it's sensory overload, you want near a village (escape route). If it's just "don't make me blow out candles," she be ok in a villa further out of a town?
I specialise in travel planning for neurodivergent families, so this setup is literally my job, happy to help if you want specific villa recs or how to structure the trip so everyone relaxes. I do hope it all goes well for everyone.

Thank you! DH and I love Menorca but worried it might be too quiet for them.

no ND issues, just middle kid not wanting to have a massive party with extended family so escaping removes that pressure.

We’ll have

2x 51 yr olds (us)
24
23
21
20
2 x 18 yr olds

ans just want to get it right!

apartment complex might give space for everyone to retreat to their own but villa would work if 4 rooms.

Am hoping the MN hive might have some suggestions as anywhere I look for something with flights / stay with pool is about £8k 😳

What time of year and what weather are you hoping for? Eg if it's outside the main summer season, Canaries might be good for reliable weather. Also less likely to be very hot in summer if Greece, Spain etc too hot.

Playa Blanca Lanzarote might suit in a couple of 2 bedroom bungalows if 4 x twin/double rooms works for you. Or a 4 bed villa. Is mostly flat as long as you're fairly central, but Google maps let's you check out elevation and walking times to beach, supermarket, marina etc.

End of May

Give the young adults a budget and ask them what they want to do.

I have personally stayed at Villa Eska on Almondbloom.com a few years ago and would recommend it. It is like staying at a small beautiful boutique hotel with self catering. The pool house is fabulous for young adults to hang out.

Edited to add I see it's mostly booked at the end of May already. There are still four nights between 22nd and 26th available, you could ring them. ( Usually a minimum 7 night booking).

To add, my recommendation is also on Premiervillas.net (an excellent site which I recommend) as Villa Vista do Mar.
