Would love to experience more of Scotland outside of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Can anyone recommend good & luxury hotel suitable for families? We’ve been to Gleneagles (v good) - is there anywhere else similar vibe we can try?
Currently looking at Fife Arms.

Fairmont St Andrews. A great spot to explore Fife and Tayside.

Kingshouse in Glencoe if you’re outdoorsy

Crieff Hydro?

Noooo!
I stayed there this summer. We stayed in the hotel, not the self catering part, in June. We stayed in one of the more expensive rooms. The room was nice but the servicing of it wasn’t great. The restaurants were not great either. Very busy. I think it is just old and tired.

Another vote for Glenapp

Glenapp doesn’t have much for kids other than some highland cows and space to run around and no swimming pool etc.
Afternoon tea in the conservatory is nice but can be cold in the winter.

As a complete aside they host a great Christmas wreath making workshop!

Cameron House was amazing with kids. They never felt unwelcome anywhere.
