Would you mention poor standards in an otherwise lovely holiday let?

So, I'm staying in a holiday let abroad, equivalent of £180 per person for 5 people. I'm visiting dear family and I have saved up for many many months to do this as flights are super expensive. In a nut shell, I've worked my socks off for this.

I'm in a room with my 2 DCs and the apartment is beautiful, secure and in a lovely area.

However, the owner has left loads of her things stuffed in the corner of the room, the bed sheets are not great (don't have a lovely clean feel I have experienced in other air bnbs) and there are things like blinds missing, windows that don't shut properly and are missing handles.

Tbh the dusty suitcases and junk has given me the ick.

Would you say something? Would you let it go?

Yes i think i would , that really doesn't look nice and i cannot compromise with grotty bedding.
I would also tell them all the positive things you like about the place too.
When i'm away i want the same or very similar standards as home , i don't think a pile of someone's junk in the room is acceptable.

Did you get what you paid for according to the description of the holiday let? Do the photos of the listing reflect reality? Nothing about what you are describing is sounding lovely tbh!

If you were sold a clean and clear space that was entirely for your sole use (i.e not for someone's personal storage dump) and that is not what you got, then you should definitely raise it and raise it asap. Have you gone through the T&C to check exactly what was and was not included? What matters is what you were led to believe you were getting and what has actually been delivered.
