Sorry if this has been done to death already, but can anyone recommend a long haul holiday destination for end 2 weeks of October with kids ages 4.5 and 8? I’ve ruled out so many places we’d love to visit SE Asia, Sri Lanka, Caribbean etc for weather reasons, unless anyone can correct me on that? Looking at Mauritius (we’ve been before but it was years ago pre-children) but the flights are working out very expensive. Haven’t ruled it out but wondered if there might be some other options that I have overlooked? TIA

Japan Airways are offering a deal where if you fly with them they will then offer you free internal flights as they want to try to stop people so heavily focusing on Kyoto and Tokyo. Such a wonderful place to visit and brilliant with small children. They eat everything and they’ll find it interesting and you’ll feel safe. Plus, if you go to Ryokan, you can all just stay in a family room.
It can however be difficult to organise hotels last minute. You’d have to have a bit of a ferret round and see what’s actually available.

We went to South Korea last year in November. Fantastic weather the whole time cold in the mornings but beautiful days . Really easy to navigate we spent time in Seoul bullet train to Busan really nice beach and very kid friendly hotel. I can’t remember the name but can look it up if you’re interested
we then flew to Jeju island which was great .

I've been to the Carribean in October and the weather was fine - just the odd short torrential shower. The sea was nice and warm too.
