Center parcs spiders

I’m off to centerparcs in September, excited but kinda dreading that I know it’s more than likely I will come across spiders in the lodge 🤦🏻‍♀️ can’t stand them. Is there anything I could take that would deter them from wanting to come in?

It is a lodge in the middle of a forest in the countryside. With associated wildlife.

Spraying white vinegar on surfaces is supposed to deter them but it smells vile.

I’ve been to Center Parcs quite a few times and never noticed a spider in the lodge. We once had a small ant infestation but that was it.

I’m scared of spiders too, never seen one at CP as I think the lodges are immaculately clean.

Do you not have spiders where you live?!

I went to Longleat and found a huge one on my pillow. Husband sorted it.

@bitontheobtuse I know, I’m expecting them of course I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me anything that would help deter them and I agree with you on that I’ll leave off the white vinegar idea

Try smuggling in a cat? Mines great at catching spiders 😺

Had bloody squirrels and geese in the lodge, but not encountered a spider.

Which one are you going to? We just got back from Elveden and there were a couple of thin spindly ones in the corner of the bathroom but nothing more scary than that. I hate spiders and wasn’t worried. We had plenty of muntjac deer at our door though!

She says she'd love a woodland holiday but would require payment in Dreamies for every spider caught 😂

@DC555Elveden, ah that’s alright then! I’ve just seen a few videos of people showing those thick horrible big hairy ones and thought oh god I hope I don’t encounter one of those

We go to CP every year and have probably seen 1 or 2 spiders in total!

you’re probably more likely to get a mouse in your lodge!
