Info for someone taking a Gap year

Hi, my niece wants to take a gap year and travel the world.. Does anyone have any recommendations for a book / books I can give to her to help her try and plan it out a bit?

Does she have a part of the world she’s interested in? Lonely planet sell planning maps which would be great for inspiration. The South America book was useful according to my DD’s friend who went there for a year

I was thinking more about the practicalities something like the "How to Travel the World on $75 a Day: Travel Cheaper, Longer, Smarter" type book

Tell her to watch race across the world.
