Family and dog friendly holidays in UK- October

I am looking for a family and dog friendly place in the U.K. for the October half term. We usually go on 5* all inclusive kind of holiday around that time but feel now we have the dog it will be nice to go away here and take her with us.

I have a 6 year old and puppy will be 6 months, with it being October we will be looking for a location/resort with facilities or things to do inside in case it rains a lot etc and something which feels still ‘luxurious’ and for all the family.

Any recommendations appreciated and preferably in England.

Open on budget.

Thank you!

Not sure how you can do things inside if you have the dog with you? When I had a dog the only things we did were outside and you can’t leave them unattended in a caravan, lodge or self catering cottage.

Sandyballs would have activities for all.

We did things more like sc cottages in the lakes, Peak District and so on though.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to leave a 6mo puppy on its own in a house/apartment that wasn’t my own. Not fair on the puppy, and potentially hazardous to someone else’s property with accidents etc… So if you want indoor activities, you’re going to be restricted to having to take it in turns to stay in with the dog, or search out some of the few indoor attractions which allow dogs. When we went to the Lake District, there were a couple of steam railways which allowed dogs on the trains. Dogs were also allowed on the Windermere boat trip which was enclosed and ok for cold wet weather.

We like Forest Holidays, the lodges are lovely and you can upgrade to things like a private chef and in lodge spa treatments. Nothing that allows dogs is going to be luxurious as you are used to going 5* abroad.
