Recommendations for quiet solo break in Greece

Hi, I am planning to go on a short break alone in Greece. Could any one recommend somewhere that is on the coast, safe as safe can be and not a million miles from an airport? It always looks fabulous. I'm 43 and not looking for a nightlife but just a quiet lovely time with beautiful views, food and a glass of wine. I mention airport as some trips in European places I looked at have an outrageous transfer fee. Thank you x

Hello Agios Gordios in Corfu is great. Small town but lively with nice mix of nationalities. Bit hippy in a good way . Beach is 10 mins walk from everywhere. 30 mins drive from airport. Gorgeous wide sandy beach.

Katelios, in Kephalonia. Small, quiet resort - mainly just restaurants and bars. A smattering of small hotels. About a 20 minute drive from the airport in Argostoli.

Paxos, specifically Lakka or Loggos, it’s a shortish ferry ride from Corfu and not as commercial or busy as Corfu.

Suggest looking at Nea Chora within walking distance to Chania, Crete, and not far from the airport (Chania International).

Alykanas in Zante, about a 20 minute transfer by taxi

I have never been to Greece but it sounds wonderful.
Would love to know how it goes and then I might be brave.

I went to paleokastritsa in Corfu solo earlier this year. It is not far from the airport and felt very safe. Free beach access was limited though so I had to pay for a sunbed if I wanted to go to the main beach area. However, I found a little hotel that didn't charge if you ate there - my hotel had no beach access but didn't charge a single supplement.

Rhodes! Small island so the coast is not too far from the airport

Lixouri in Kefalonia. A working Greek town where the Greeks like to holiday. Lovely town square, harbour, a selection of restaurants and you can hop on a short ferry to Argostoli to see the turtles & fab sea food restaurants. Lixouri square at night is lovely, quiet & safe with local families sitting out with their kids. You can take an organised day trip if you don’t want to drive to Myrtos Beach, Assos, Fiskardo, Dragonati Caves. Lots of beautiful beaches you can jump in a taxi too. It’s beautiful.
