Pre-holiday anxiety and upset stomach before flying tomorrow

Help! I am due to fly tomorrow, a much planned and waited for holiday with my family following a really stressful year - various issues, bereavements, health issues etc. I have had a bad tummy for the last few days, horrible trips to the loo etc. I have previously had bad bouts of travel anxiety. It usually resolves once we get into the flight but I thought I had kicked it.
as well as needing the toilet all of the time, I feel exhausted. Not a great start to a holiday! I have resisted immodium at the moment. Any tips appreciated! I am told lots of people get this but it feels ridiculous. I actually love flying/travelling and have been looking forward to this….

I don't get travel anxiety myself, but I wonder if lists would help.
Write down everything you need to pack and tick off as you do it.
Write down all the activities you will do there, and think what you might need. Then you know you're physically prepared, this might help your brain relax.

Why resist immodium? It's medicine that treats your exact problem, so take it.

And next time ask the dr for diazepam.

Maybe some cbt as well could help but it did bugger all for me. I just medicate myself to the eyeballs and hope for the best.

Have you tried rescue remedy or even those Trip drinks wjth cbd oil or magnesium in? They are calming. Also yoga and mindfulness. Just going for a massive walk / run in nature to burn off the adrenaline your body is producing.

Thanks - I have had a serious bout of constipation before, up all night pacing round the house at 2am! So it’s not my first port of call but I will take some in the morning if it carries on x

2 immodium will stop your upset stomach and also the worry that your stomach may be upset, 1 arnica tablet as you take off - they help your tummy not get as gassy so I’ve been told but they seem to help me, ooh and I have been known to have 2 glasses of wine as well. But I’m very proud today that I’ve not needed the immodium or wine, but today was my 10th flight this year so I’m trying to train myself to be a better flyer!
