Recommendations for a week in Mykonos in September

My husband and I are spending 1 week in Mykonos in September.

Any recommendations/must do’s ? especially lunch and dinner venues, (have been told it’s very expensive but don’t mind if the quality is good)

We are also thinking of hiring a car for a day or 2 so we can see more of the Island or possibly another island for the day

Thank you

Definitely get a car.

September's good time to go, you'll dodge summer madness and still get warm weather.
On restaurants: The tourist-trap on the harbour are pricey but mediocre. Better bet is to walk 5/10 mins inland Venetian Quarter, the locals eat, half the price, proper food. Book ahead. If you want something special for dinner, Interni or Nobu have stellar reputations but book ahead.
Car hire: Worth it, but Mykonos roads are narrow and winding, take it slow if you're not used to European driving. Delos (20-min ferry) is incredible if you like ancient ruins. Rinia's beaches are quieter than Mykonos itself. Both are better as day trips. Pick 1/2 restaurants you love and go back.
Have a brilliant time.

Wow. What a beautiful looking hotel!
Definitely get a car for the day to see the town, and a visit to Ano Mera.
Some beach clubs might do free private transfers to pick you up and drop you back off at your hotel - but you’d need to book in advance. Or you could pre-book
a private transfer if you know your itinerary ahead.
