Suggestions for a relaxing seven-night five-star holiday under £3k

We are looking to fly somewhere for around 7 nights of relaxing. Looking for excellent service, 5* but want to spend less than £3k a week on the hotel. We’ve been to Thailand a lot but fancy something new, can you suggest anywhere?

What time of year (given reference to Thailand)?

AI or just the hotel?

ralesh · 31/07/2026 14:22

Early October - sorry a vital fact! We would consider AI but £3k is B&B

I booked a week All inclusive, 3 adults, Corfu, 4 star, just over £3k all in. Easyjet from Gatwick. Fingers crossed.
We're all exaughsted and need a week of RnR. No thinking about where to eat unless a big recommendation. Leaving Sunday.
Beautiful coastline and excellent Greek yoghurt Smile

MiddleAgedDread · 31/07/2026 14:30

£3k just for the hotel or as part of a package with flights? And who is “we” and what sort of thing do you want to do when you get there?

This sounds devine.
I was just going to post this question for myself OP.
Where have you booked @citychick if you dont mind saying?

Animatic · 31/07/2026 14:48

I think in early October you will find quite good options in Europe,e.g.Greece, Spain, Croatia, etc.

citychick · 31/07/2026 14:51

@Doteycat
Booked via easyjet holidays.
Adult only hotel. West side of the island.
🏖✈️

Bit different, do you like mountains/ waterfalls? October may be Autumnal darker and cosy - we just came back from Neuhaus Resort, Mayrhofen Austria - the new SPA is unreal, far outstrips anything in UK, the food is classic European and the service is elegant / unassuming. Inghams tour operator may work for you - we booked ourselves, fly Innsbruck.

Greece, IKOS hotels. 5* AI. Absolutely wonderful

MissFritton65 · 31/07/2026 16:10

Ikos is fantastic but you'd be very lucky to get a week for 2 for £3k even in October!
Have a look at the Jet2 Indulgent Escape hotel; they are fantastic too but usually more reasonably priced.

Dublassie · 31/07/2026 17:05

Yes Ikos is super - have been to Dassia and Oceania and off to Olivia this year .

But like a previous poster mentioned - would you consider the mountains ? We have done the mountains for the last two summers as could not take the heat in Greece /Turkey .

Just back from here and it was FABULOUS !! The rooftop pool is the nicest I have ever been in . Going back next year .

I'm at ikos now. It's incredible.
however, it cost over 3000 per person

Dublassie · 31/07/2026 17:29

We go out of season for quite a bit less ! I think for May we are paying 1800 euro each but that's with Deluxe and private pool .

Deluxe IKOS and private pool for £1800 euro? Do you mean per day?

A week in Deluxe even out of school holidays costs much more than that, unless by “out of season” you mean you’re going in January rather than May/ Sept etc. Even with discounts for being a regular customer two weeks there in June for one adult and two children cost me £18k. With a private pool it would have been double that.

Dublassie · 31/07/2026 19:20

3 of us and we are going for 5 days , first week in May . Olivia .

Dublassie · 31/07/2026 19:23

None of them open in January….

I’ve been to IKOS for 1 week at the end of May, perfect weather. Paid £1,300 pp including flights and transfers. That’s a one bed suite (bedroom & separate living room)
I’ve done them all, most I’ve paid is £9,000 for a family of 4, 9 days in summer hols. (So not far off your £18k first 2 weeks really!)

Dublassie · 31/07/2026 20:08

It's very over priced in the summer holidays hence the reason I go with my girlfriends every year ! Will bring the family at some stage though......

BarbaraVineFan · 31/07/2026 20:10

Look at the Jiva Beach hotel in Calis, Türkiye. It is 5* and I reckon would come in under 3k at that time of year. Wonderful hotel.

ChicLeFreak · 31/07/2026 21:30

Look at Mauritius. 12 hour flight but you're used to that. A few nice hotels in your price range on Loveholidays.com

OnARainyDay2012 · 31/07/2026 21:33

Mauritius. We did half board for 3 of us for 10 days for around £5k, although 4* with some glamping in the middle! But stunning and lots to do if you want to be active and lovely for lounging around also.
