A few months ago, I joined Inteletravel as an Independent Travel Advisor and I'm really struggling - when people are asking me to price up holidays for them, I know they could get it so much cheaper doing it by themselves and I feel horrible charging them the 'travel agent' fees just so I can make a bit of money. I know there's the extra level of protection booking through a travel agent but tbh, it's not something I've ever done / used myself.
I'm thinking of leaving Inteletravel and doing more as a 'Travel Planner's i.e I research holidays, best prices etc and send them links to book themselves. I'd charge a small finders fee but that would be transparent from the start.
I literally spend any free time researching holidays / road trips etc for myself and probably have the next 5 years planned 😂 so this would just be a wee bit pocket money doing something I already love without the guilt attached.
All.my family and friends always comment about my ability to plan holidays and it'd probably be the first thing mentioned at my funeral 😂
Do you guys think that would work or am I just fooling myself?
