Recommendations for last minute holiday next week in Europe for teens

I have a French campsite booked but likely I will have to find an alternative holiday at short notice for next week. I am travelling with teenagers. Can anyone recommend a good resort or other package type holiday that they’ve been to recently with teenagers (play on your phone, enjoy meeting other teens and sunbathing type teens as opposed to hugely active). I am flexible on location / country. Budget maybe £5k. Thanks in advance.

I’d claim on my travel insurance due to the fires and in between just have a holiday in the uk.

get yourself on any of the big providers websites (Easyjet holidays, Jet2 holidays, Tui, Thomas Cook etc) and do an open destination search from your local airport(s).

Thanks yes it was more of people had specific recommendations of resorts etc that are good for teenagers - as it’s quite overwhelming to research at short notice.

but no one knows what's available on your dates / departure point. You'd be best to get a shortlist together for folk to advise on or go in a travel agents.

Plus you'll always be able to see hundreds if not thousands of Trip Advisor reviews so got to be worth at least as much as a single random Mumsnetter.

I would put my criteria into the late deals page on Jet2 etc, sort by ascending price and compare the first few I liked the look of.

That's what I'd do but I'd also filter for holidays that have four stars plus on tripadvisor first and if you want to avoid night flights use those filters too. Then sort ascending and work your way up through the price range until you find something you like the look of and has good reviews.

I had a campsite booked and now can’t go, so quickly trying to pivot. Of course I know how to research package holidays, and look at reviews, it’s just quite overwhelming to think about where to start as we really could go anywhere - I have a very open mind !

My q specifically as whether people could recommend places they had been with their teena that they would recommend. Eg I went to a couple of different places in Tenerife last year and they were very nice but not much for the teens to do.

What are your teens into? Mine are quite young (12, and a very young 14) and like water parks, high ropes, anything adrenaline. My much younger cousin and my aunt used to go to Mark Warner because my cousin was very sporty and could do loads of sports and she could lie on a sun lounger and read.

If you are considering another campsite we went to this one by St Tropez when kids were young teens, was a while back now, stayed in one of the mobile homes. Has swimming pool, water slide, entertainment at night, walkable to beach and drivable to St Tropez, Monaco etc.

Waterpark hotels tend to have a lot of teens, TUI has a Splashworld range on their website. Tend to be fairly lively.

You literally said your teens are lying on a sunbed and playing on their phones types so does it really matter that much where you go so long as it’s warm and sunny?? You said they’re not active so I didn’t suggest Neilsons or mark Warner but they’d be over budget at this time of year anyway.
