Can anyone recommend any good 4-5* resorts in Gran Canaria or Tenerife for November please? Preferably adults only, and it’s for one week. Bonus for a lovely spa. Thank you! ✨

Gloria Palace Amadore
it’s in between Peurto Rico & Amadores beach

amazing views set on the cliff path you can walk along

Not adults only but gorgeous, Lopesan Baobab Gran Canaria. It's in Melonares which has a large beach and you can walk through the dunes towards Maspalomas.

This is where I went a few years ago on a last minute deal. Good to hear it’s still nice.

We quite like Secrets at Puerto Calero in Lanzarote

The one thing I didn’t like about Gloria palace amadore was the extra price for the spa. Entertainment wasn’t brilliant either. But AI, rooms and pool were great.

Joia el Mirador by Iberostar in Costa Adeje (Tenerife) is lovely! Worth upgrading to Star Prestige if available but standard is also great 😊

I’m currently looking at Bahia Principe Escape in Tenerife. It looks lovely!

Anther for Lopesan Baobab, Meloneras. Not adults only but plenty of quieter pools where the children tend to stay away as they are more relaxed areas. I’ve stayed here 4 times over 10 years and loved it each time!

The area (Meloneras) is stunning too.

Thanks for your recommendation. Can I ask what times of year you’ve visited? I’m planning for November but I’d like it to be quiet

I’ve done April, June and July. Most recent was April last year, Easter holidays. It was busy-ish, not overcrowded though.

We spent most of our time at the pools around the back of the hotel as opposed to the main lazy river style pool, and don’t think any children appeared in those areas the whole time! I have a DD, she was with her DF when I went last, so I’m not against children being loud on holiday, but there simply wasn’t any of this in the quieter pools (still stunning areas).

I think November would be a fairly safe bet!

I like the sound of this and I usually book adults only. Is it beachfront?

Not beachfront, the beach is around 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is stunning, absolutely worth it.

ETA some rooms provide a partial sea view due to their position within the hotel.

We loved Anthelia in Costa Adeje

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 27/07/2026 19:35

Sorry just seen adults only ignore me!

I’ve just noticed adults only and Gloria Palace Amadores is not adults only but spa is world class and not many kids about when I was there in October.
