Anyone in Lake Garda? Temps look intimidating and I’m stressing

Going to Pescheria del Garda in a couple of weeks and I am worried about the forecast for 36/37 degrees!!

Anyone there now and can tell me comforting tales about breezes off the lake, cooler mountain trips and generally talk me down from cancelling?!?!!

Neighbours just back, she's an absolute sun worshipper but said it wasn't enjoyable because of the heat. Some of the tours they had booked people weren't able to complete them, she knew we were thinking of going in a couple of weeks but recommended we choose somewhere else. I was surprised because she loves the heat but described it as unbearable. Most of their holiday was spent sitting in the shade or cooling off in their room where she'd normally not miss a second of being outside basking in sunshine.

There is a cable car you can take to the top of a mountain (can’t remember the name) but the queues will be long. Book in advance. Lake Garda has high hills all around so traps heat. Hopefully your accommodation will have air con and you’ll have access to a pool or one of the lakeside places with sunshades.

We are returning today from an Eurocamp right by Pescheria del Garda and the temps have been fine all week. High 20’s low 30’s. Lots of trees for shade, breezes and a few thunderstorms!

This has confirmed my instincts to start looking at other options! Looks like we can cancel campsite with relatively low fees, try to negotiate credit or an October move date for flights then perhaps look to drive to France instead.

Its cooler now but looks like it’s going to be smack in the middle of a late thirties heat wave when we go and we’re normally very outdoorsy on holiday so hiding in the aircon will be a massive let down
