Has anyone done an early morning transfer from Venice island to Treviso Airport?

Our Ryanair flight leaves very early, and we need to be at Treviso Airport by 6:00 am (for an 8:00 am flight). We're staying on the main island of Venice and I'm struggling to work out the best way to get there at that time of the morning.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's done this. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure some of the water taxis run 24/7 and would imagine the one to the airport may be one of these. Then it’s a question of how close the stop is to where you’re staying. Google might be able to tell you this but, if not, I’m sure your hotel can. Bear in mind that there’s a difference between normal
walking distance and what it would be like in Venice with cobbles and lots of little bridges with steps up & down from them. A rucksack or holdall could be a better choice that a suitcase on wheels.

Thank you @FoxandDuck that is so helpful! I'm glad now I didn't check in any suitcase, I'm only taking a backpack so that will turn out to be a good choice in the end. I'm staying 3 nights, I'll have to make sure I don't stain the few clothes that I have hahaha

Treviso does not have water taxis as it’s on land without canal or lagoon access. @Fiddlesticks1 link is useful.

Trains from Venezia Santa Lucia Station to Treviso start around 5.00am. From there it's only a couple of miles to the airport, and there's an airport bus as per Fiddlestick's link, or if too early for that a taxi shouldn't be too steep.

Otherwise there's the direct bus from Piazzale Roma in Venice.

We got a water taxi early to the airport, our hotel organised it for us

To Treviso?

Marco Polo airport is the one with the water taxi service. Treviso airport is inland. I got a coach when I did it many years ago. The Treviso airport website should have up to date information on getting around from there.

To Treviso?

At this point I don't know whether the problem lies with reading comprehension or geographical knowledge (lack of). 🤦‍♀️😆

I used to work in the industry and once took a whole bus load of tourists to Glasgow Airport rather than Glasgow Prestwick Airport mind you, but I managed to blame the company

The waterbus does run early, but I asked at the hotel reception and turned out 3 of us all needed to get there around the same time, so we shared a water taxi.

Venice Treviso airport is much further out than Venice Marco Polo airport and you cannot get water taxis to Treviso, the Ryanair linked bus takes 70 minutes on land.
