Luton hand luggage liquids rules, is there still a limit?

Flying from Luton Airport this weekend with hand luggage only and wanted to check the liquids rules.

I know it’s still the 100ml limit, but the airport website says you can leave liquids in your bag and don’t need to use a separate clear plastic bag anymore.

Does that mean you can pack as many 100ml (or smaller) liquids as you need, or is there still a limit?

The days of playing Tetris trying to fit everything into that tiny plastic bag still haunt me, so I don’t want to assume and end up having to throw away makeup or toiletries at security!

grateful if anyone knows the answer

Bear in mind your return airport may still operate restrictions,

Absolutely this. No point taking loads if you then can't bring it back with you. Even if you are within the limit, you may still have to have it in the plastic bag and be prepared to take it out at security on the way back.

I’d like to understand if there is a total limit too (but for Manchester airport). I don’t care about coming back as they can go in the hold suitcase but for this trip, I don’t want to lose any toiletries on the way out. Can anyone confirm?

Just flew from Luton last week, everything stays in your bag through the scanner, no one questioned how many bottles I had in my bag - I had lots!

That’s good to know.
