Been loooking at booking a holiday for the past week or so. Everytime I go on love holidays the price is changing. Is this normal?

Do it on private browsing. Prices do change based on numerous factors including popularity

It's a myth that airlines, travel companies, etc make the price go up based on your cookies. It would make no sense to do so - people would get annoyed. So private browsing doesn't help. The prices will vary whatever you do.

The thing to be with broker companies like Love Holidays, On The Beach, etc, is that you are typically not booking "a package holiday". You are getting (probably) discounted rates on a flight and a hotel and a transfer. The difference becomes noticeable when something goes wrong. If you buy your holiday from TUI or Jet2 or Easyjet including a flight and the flight is cancelled, you get your hotel adjusted. With a broker you're on your own. Also, with a package provider if you get robbed, they will provide assistance - with a broker you might find yourself stuck at the airport with no passport or money on a Saturday waiting for the consulate to open on Monday. So get absolutely top-of-the-line insurance.

it’s a myth but it can be real time pricing so someone could have booked the deal before you so the next time you search it’s gone up. All of these sites hook you in and then add a ton of extras like luggage, dates, seats and by the time you’ve booked you’d be better going mainstream BA or Virgin or TU. Generally speaking if you book via an agency like live holidays you will pay a bit more than you intended.

But bear in mind you don’t get the same protection with Love Holidays as they act as an agent for individual providers not a package tour operator like TUI.

Just be aware in these type of sites if your booking/confirmation for 2 people says 2 bags, that can mean 1 bag there and 1 back for 1person . 2 bags for 2 people would be 4 bags. Read the small print very carefully.
As an ex airport worker this was a very common and frequent problem resulting in airport charges. It may have changed as this was a few years back but people used to show me thier booking confirmation and it was worded dreadfully saying 2 bags but the booking then made from the "seller"through the actual airline was 1 return bag.

This. I would rather pay extra with jet 2 or Tui, so I can fully relax. If there are any issues, there is always a rep on call to sort it out. Ive also heard of people having unexpected charges added to their holiday with companies like this too.

It's normal for prices to fluctuate but check you're comparing like with like.

Jet2holidays include transfers and hold baggage, which you may not need, as standard. They're also very good at dealing with problems. Love Holidays don't have a good customer service reputation.

Also check if you can book the hotel and flights direct with the providers and arrange your own transfer, this can be cheaper although not always.

Whatever you do, pay for your holiday or at least the deposit with a credit card, so you get extra protection if anything goes wrong.
