Eurocamp near Zell am See

Hi. Has anyone stayed at the Eurocamp Sportcamp Woferlgut recently? The Eurocamp page says a summer card is included but doesn't give any more information. I know you can get the card for Kaprun and Zell am See if you book through certain accommodation providers but I didn't think that Eurocamp was one of them? I have emailed them to ask but would be good to see if any other mumsnetters have been there themselves?

Plus any other tips for our first Eurocamp holiday with an almost four year old and ten month old!

It is the accommodation provider that provides the summer card, not the tour operator, but I don't know if the Sportcamp Woferlgut offers the Zell/Kaprun Card as it is actually located in Bruck, about 5 km from Zell am See. Presumably you will get the answer when they reply to your email.

Unless you have a car the more extensive, paid-for Salzburgerland Activity Card is not good value as most of the activities are far from Zell am See.

One item that the Sportcamp should provide is the Salzburgerland Mobility Card, which gives guests free use of the trains and buses throughout Salzburgerland. This includes the journey from Salzburg Airport on the arrival day and the journey back to the airport on the departure day.

Haven't been to Eurocamp but I know the area well and you're in for such a treat, it's beautiful. I'm jealous x

Thanks. I'm assuming it's not the summer card as they're not on the approved providers list and they mention the mobility card separately so I don't think it's that either.
I've been looking at buying the hike and swim card instead but need to try and work out if it would actually be good value for us or whether we'd be better off just paying for what we use each day.

@bk1981 we made great use of the summer card - without including the buses we used, the activities would have cost us £544 without it for 1 adult, 1 teen and 1 child across an 8 night stay.
Might be worth checking how much more expensive alternative accomodation would be. We stayed at the bottom end of the lake about a 20 mins walk into town.
Because we had the card, we used the lidos every day. Does the campsite have a pool?

Yes we’ve stayed here last May! had absolutely no idea about this summer card when we went 😂just paid to use their pool everyday. It’s amazing there! Kids loved the campsite (18 months and 6 at the time). We hired a car and drive all over, had a fantastic week away, eldest keeks asking to go back

It's cheaper for us to do Eurocamp and buy the hike and swim card separately if we take into account that we get three separate bedrooms- don't want the 10 month old waking the almost four year old in the night! Comparable prices in the accommodation that offers the summer card is for a one bed or studio with no other facilities.

Plus the convenience of a park, soft play and pool on site which I think will be good if we want to put the baby down for a decent nap at the caravan.

We love a camping/ caravan holiday in the UK so I'm hoping Eurocamp will work for us abroad too!

Are there any activities your children really enjoyed? We're hoping to do lots of cable cars with playground stops, short walks and see some animals!

Also did the traffic noise at the site bother you? I've seen a few negative reviews about it!

Perfect timing as we are also looking at options to stay in Zell am See if we can get flights to work, which is proving difficult at the moment. Would you stay a car is needed once there?

We're going to fly into Munich as it's half the price of Salzburg and then hire a car. Mainly as we'll have a toddler, baby and all our luggage so a car just feels way less hassle!
You do get a card that gives free public transport though and I think the buses are supposed to be good once you're there.

Ah I remember those days. We are considering Munich and maybe staying for a night before catching the train. Another option I have just found is flying with Tui flights only.
