Flights and accom for £750. Is this on the expensive side. Can anyone recommend what to do there in terms of beaches etc. and villages and towns to visit. And the best way to meet other people

There must be something in the water. I've just booked 5 days in Porto Cristo, which cost me just under £700. What it costs varies a lot depending on the time of year, where your accommodation is and how nice it is, where you're flying from etc etc etc. You could probably pay less than £750 but you could also pay a lot more.

In Palma, I'd have a wander around the city. I'd also get the train to Soller and probably carry on the Port de Soller.

The bus service is good so you can go to lots of places without having to travel too far. There are also a few trains but I don't know if they go anywhere that's worth visiting.

I'm not going to be looking to meet any other people but spend a lot of time swimming, walking, reading and sleeping.

Port de Soller is fantastic. Also recommend the caves of drach which are about an hour away.

My accommodation is a few minutes walk from the caves and I'm definitely going there. I've been to Mallorca a few times but apart from one diving holiday from Cala D'Or not seen any of the east coast. Planning to go up as far as the far NE corner.
