Lisbon airport

Has anybody flown London-Lisbon recently? How was navigating the EES?

Last time we flew home from Lisbon two of our party nearly missed the flight. They were used to Security->Passport Control->Duty Free->Gate, but it was a different order in Lisbon. They took their time in Duty Free, and didn’t realise that they had not yet passed through Passport Control!

Yes, just back. Absolutely sailed through, no problems whatsoever.

I was there in May, it was fine.

Is it before or after Duty Free?

Sometimes there's more than one Duty Free. It's a couple of years since I went to Lisbon, but I remember it was a big airport.

Wherever you are (in the EU at least) you need to keep in mind that you need to go through a passport check after security, and not think you've got dawdling/waiting time until after you've done that. What's more important, getting on the plane or being able to buy some slightly discounted alcohol and a vastly overpriced giant toblerone?

All very quiet even after duty free, but just don’t take any chances.

Same with Vaclav Havel Airport Prague. Went through Passport control straight to Duty Free, and couldn't find Security. Turns out it is at the actual Gate for each flight! It was very confusing!
