I’m reading all sorts about ginormous queues due to the new EU passport biometric systems. We’re due to go to Tenerife in August with 2 young kids (2 + 5). DH and kids all have British passports but I have an EU one (settled status). Really worried about missing flights but just as worried about entertaining 2 kids in a queue for up to 2h!
Last year passport control queue at Luton was very long but we paid for express exit and it was worth it as we were out in no time although experience with other passengers was awful as we got abused at queue asking (not politely or once) why we get to skip to the point of making our eldest upset. But I think that might be different because that was after we landed home. We haven’t travelled since and I’m a bit confused about what is actually happening and if there’s anything we can do to make life easier.
Thank you.
