Checking is at 7:30pm heathrow terminal 2. What time should I leave from North London? My first ever flight on a Friday.. last day of school.. I am really worried about the traffic.

Can you get the train in? That’s a bit more predictable. If you have checked luggage, I’d aim to arrive at 5pm. If only hand luggage, 6pm.

Edit to say I read 7:30pm as the flight time, not checking in time. Scratch what I previously said.

North London is a big area. How are we meant to know where exactly in the N postcodes you live? You could be right next to the M25 or a half hour drive away from it.

5/5.30 ideally. Being first day of holidays for many it’s likely to be heaving

What's the flight time? I'd aim to arrive 2 hours before then.

Are you driving there, that seems risky, with expensive parking, can you get a tube or coach? Whichever you choose, allow a generous amount of time for the journey. If you're early, you can always have a relaxing dinner before the flight, assuming its not one that feeds you properly on the plane.

4.30 (3 hours before) , as now requested by airlines.

I think (hope) you misread the post, she says check-in opens at 7:30pm.
