Butlins - hired cot

I've booked a Butlins holiday and added cot hire, but it says bring your own mattress? If I owned a cot mattress then presumably I would own a travel cot and in that case why would I be hiring one? What's on the base of the hired cots they have?

Its just the standard base that you get on a travel cot. I think it’s better as you can sanitise easily rather than a traditional cot as I’d be worried about mattress. I think it doesn’t look comfy as hotels sometimes pad it out with a duvet under a sheet ( which seems dangerous tbh.)

Just get one off Amazon. I have a travel cot but if a place provides one I’ll use theirs to safe car space and always bring my own mattress. Travel cots usually only come with a hard base for SIDS reasons. It’s not comfortable at all
