flying after 19th July (could actually be on the 19th, if an afternoon or evening flight) but I MUST be back by the 30th at latest
one week, though I could do 5 or 6 days if it wasn’t too far

Please don’t think I am being lazy! I’ve spent hours of my time looking into holidays. But I can’t get much cheaper than the £700 mark, and I thought someone might know of a hidden gem/bargain.

I’ve done a quick search and £700 for a week seems like the cheapest available. Or £550-600 for 5 days, like PP’s link. I don’t think an “old style” bargain can be found anymore, not with how flight prices have been this summer anyway…

Yes, I have learnt that last minute doesn’t equal cheap! The main reason I’m so late is that there was a hold up with my passport renewal application, but I have it now so can book up.

Jet2 have a flight from Edinburgh to Mallorca from 23 to 29 July for £137 return, you get 2 cabin bags so won't need any more luggage.

Just need to find 6 nights accommodation for well under £100 per night and you're below £700. I'd try searching for hotels on trivago or similar in the first instance as it will go through all the booking sites. Also try looking direct and joining the loyalty programme for a discount.

Good bus service all over the island so you don't need to pay for transfers or hire a car.

Retreat Finca Son Manera

This looks nice for £87 per night but it's not on the coast. It does have a pool though. But you're still up to about £650 for 6 nights so might as well revert to trawling the package options for a last minute deal.

Onthebeach has lots of different options under £700, but most of them are self-catering or breakfast only
