Does anyone have any mid-price restaurant recommendations please? Or suggestions for must do activities? 4 day trip with my 16yo dd.

Wander along the Croissete, visit the beaches, day trip to the island whose name escapes
me right now but you get the ferry from the old port.

Day trip to Monaco!

My absolute favourite holiday was when I was 17 and went to Cannes with my mum for a few days before I went off to uni. You will love it!!! The beaches and restaurants are amazing 🤩

My memory is a bit sketchy, but years ago there was a charming, uphill, narrow street, leading away from the harbour area. It had some lovely restaurants with outside seating. Very authentically French.
Hopefully someone else will know it's name.
The train along the coast is superb. As well as Monaco can visit Villefrsnche and Nice if you have time.

Second Monaco. Especially if an F1 fan. How about Antibes or Nice?

I went to Cannes a few weeks ago and had an excellent dinner at a little restaurant call Le Table du Chef (4 courses for 69 Euros).

Ah thanks all! Yes Antibes would be nice and might do Monaco too (though I’ve been myself so would like to do new things but dd would like it)

Is the boat trip to st tropez worth it?

Panicking about going now with the fires. Suppose to be going in two weeks.

There are currently no wildfires affecting Cannes.

I would pass on st tropez town. It’s a long ride there and very hot and small when you arrive. The place is more about the beach clubs than the town

I would say a nicer by boat option from Cannes and closer is Ile Saint Marguerite. For lunch and a walk around the island / nature vibes

I strongly recommend Villa Ephrussi and the nearby Villa Kerylos if you’re thinking of going along the coast. It’s an 1h20 from Cannes by car and a stunning (and inexpensive) day out! and you’re 10 mins from Villefranche sur mer which is super pretty for lunch

Oh sorry to add too: if you’re heading in the direction of those villas, you’re also not far at all from Eze which is gorgeous. It’s about 15 mins by car again. There are these gorgeous gardens which amazing views. And if you wanted to stop into a gorgeous hotel for a drink or (to push the boat) out lunch, hotel chèvre d’or has incredible views
