Tips for Paris in the heatwave

Half of our little family are in Paris from today till Sunday. They had plans to visit some smaller sites but have just been told they’ll be closed due to the heatwave. It’s already horrifically hot and likely to get hotter. They do have Eiffel Tower tickets and tickets for a church. What else can they do in the heat? I keep reading that the Louvre and the Musée D’Orsay are good in the heat but they’re mostly sold out and will likely be heaving.

My sympathies - we transited through Paris yesterday evening en route to London and it was pretty hot then.
