I know it’s hardly high end but it’s what we can afford. We’ve had a shitty year as 14 year old DD is in recovery from an eating disorder (now physically well and doing great, still a few wobbles but she’s come so far in the last 12 months), and we’ve persuaded DH that we all deserve a holiday. So we’ve booked to go to Albufeira in August.
We are staying all inclusive in a hotel right on the beach front and roughly halfway between the old town and the strip area, but would really love any recommendations for day trips, places to go visit while we’re there. Public transport (if easy enough) is fine. I’ve never driven abroad before but would potentially be open to hiring a car for a day or two if it’s not extortionate to go somewhere worth visiting. Eldest daughter (above-mentioned 14 year old) won’t want to spend the whole week by the pool/sea but we also have a 6 year old DD who won’t want to trek around cultural tourist attractions all week, so we need to strike a balance!
Any ideas most welcome, please and thank you. ❤️
