HOW do you get a passport photo for a toddler?!

I need to do a passport photo for my just turned 2 year old. It is a nightmare. When they’re tiny you can lie them on a sheet but over 1 they have to stand up. I have limited white wall space at his height in my house to get him to stand in front of, and he basically needs to have his head touching the wall in order to not have a shadows behind which makes the photo unacceptable. I cannot have anyone in the photo holding him nor a toy in his hand to distract him. Have tried a couple of times and not managed to capture anything even vaguely acceptable following their long list of rules.

Anyone got any tips??

Have considered going to a photo place but can’t help feel it will be the same thing but paying for the privilege. Can’t see how a stranger or a booth will get him to stand still and look vaguely at the camera!

Somewhere like max Spielman will have better lighting than at home so that’s one less thing to have to factor in.

They were great when our 2 were younger, well worth making the trip for.

Hope you get it sorted.

Update, managed to get it done at snappy snaps today (£16!! Wish I’d managed at home!)

It did take about 15 mins though as he still wasn’t very cooperative. Then after we thought she’d got one I gave him his biscuit reward and then she wanted to take more which she had to do around bites of biscuit 😂 apparently his head was slightly tilted in the first lot (which would obviously render him completely unrecognisable as per the passport office’s rules)

A baby came in after us and it literally took about 20 seconds, just lay her on a mattress and snapped away, done.
