Hey, how is the EES going at Palma airport? Delays, chaos, problematic or all ok?

It’s a tad slow because a lot of people ignore one’s that are working but aren’t in the main hub or people just stare at it and don’t move their passport etc. The system itself works fine and is easy and quick. We’ve used it in a few and no issues but Facebook will tell you differently

It was fine entering Majorca on Tuesday of this week. I used my EU passport (dual nationality) so was through in about a minute, DP took maybe 5 minutes to get through.

A couple of weeks ago there were huge queues then the switched everything off and just stamped manually. They barely looked at the passports

No you have to join the queue to be seen by an actual immigration officer if you have a child under 12.

I'm off to Palma next week. Just wondered if anyone had an update on how long the waits are for entering on a UK passport?

We arrived at a busy time on Saturday with a couple of other planes landing. It took about 15-20 mins to queue to get registered and fingerprints taken. There were plenty of staff helping.
Then there was a far less well organised melee/queue to go through the passport control machines. The machines took a while to make a decision (I think because they sent the photo to the one passport officer in a booth) and they were sending some people to the manual control gates. But it probably only took another 15 mins to get through that.
This was with people over 12 years old. I can’t comment on the queues for people with smaller children.
