Bosnia - on my own?

I really want to go to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and could add it on to the start of a family holiday in Croatia.
my DP doesn’t have enough leave - shall I go on my own?
any areas to avoid?

Nearly went last year - single 50 yr old with teen daughters - but couldn't get everything to fit together. Looked straightforward from Dubrovnik. Lots to see. You could do organised day trips if you didn't fancy sorting everything yourself. Getyourguide.com is a good starting point. Or look up free walking tours (pay what you like).

yes go! Whilst i dont know it super well, Ihave been three times - to Sarajevo, and Blagaj. Visited Mostar several times too. it's cheap, beautiful in parts , and Sarajevo is a really interesting city. Mostar is lovely, nice food everywhere we went. about half price of food and drink in Croatia

Yes you should go! It’s a small, safe and friendly country and very beautiful! As long as you don’t wander off the beaten track into areas there could be old mines you’ll be fine that and some stray dogs are the only hazards.

Yes 100% I went alone twice. It was the friendliest place id been!

Bosnia is fabulous. Sarajevo is gorgeous and very safe indeed.

Definitely go. Trains and buses very easy to use.

I visited Sarajevo on my own a few years ago. It’s a great city.
