Spain or Mallorca holiday with sandy and rocky beach access

Hello MNers
I’m looking for holiday - ideally Spain mainland or Mallorca (DH likes his cycling and both destinations offer good cycling options). My DC and I like the beach and swimming in the sea, and don’t care much about the pool or other hotel facilities. So the beach is the most important and also close proximity to the beach.

My young DC has a specific request - he would like a location where he could have an access to both a sandy beach (to play) and a rocky beach to hunt for any sea creatures.

I prefer to be in a location which is at the seafront (not having to cross roads as I will be mostly on my own with DC while DH is cycling).

Any ideas are welcome 🙏

Cala Millor in Mallorca has a long sandy beach and at the far end there are rocks. It also has lots of hotels right on the seafront with only a pedestrian path to cross. I've stayed in the Protur Playa but it's adults only. Lots of other hotels in the vicinity.

Thanks a lot, I will check it out. I don’t know that location.

CalaDor Mallorca. Lots of pretty beaches with rocks that can be dived/ snorkelled from. We always stay at Cala Ferrera , my happy place .

Yes calla millor is lovely.

another option is can pastilla (cyclable to palma for your DH too), that has a corner beach area which is stones / rocks as you walk the shore towards palma and then a sandy beach for miles towards arenal.

only negative is it’s close to the airport and the planes are frequent.

Santa ponsa - specifically fergus style Cala blanca. There’s a semi private rocky beach off the main hotel and it’s about ten mins to the sandy beach.

Another vote for Cala D'Or, there are a few little coves and rocky headlands.
We stayed in Cala Egos, and went to two other beaches, all within 10-15 mins walking distance.
