Ideas for dog-friendly places to stay cool in Dorset heatwave

Staying in Dorset next week (between Lyme Regis and Axminster) with dog and sods law, we're going to have a heatwave while there.
Dog can't be left alone in the b&b.
Any ideas of things we can do that avoid being out in the sun in the daytime? Planning to go to the beach early and in the evening but don't really want to be stuck in the b&b all day every day between 10 and 5 🤦🏻

Loads of dog friendly places in the New Forest that are in shade during the trees - maybe some walks and picnics there?
