If money was no problem, which luxury beachfront hotels would you visit in Europe? Mother and 7 year old daughter

It depends on what you want. We've booked into the Valamar Pical resort in September which I'm so excited for. We probably wouldn't have been able to afford it in school holidays though!
Some of the more luxury resorts might not be so child friendly.

Any Ikos or Sani, if I had to choose one, Ikos Porto Petro.

The posh Amalfitana or Capri ones!

Le Grand Hotel du Cap Ferat, the Four Seasons in Sicily or Athens

Sadly I have no experience of staying in such places but you probably want to think about what other aspects of the holiday are important to you, eg do you want it to be walking distance from other amenities eg a town, water park or bus stop to visit other places, also a short airport transfer?

At least for this type of holiday you can probably justify a private transfer within reason and the hotel might even provide these themselves so you don't have to worry about a coach transfer going round half a dozen hotels before yours or working out the local bus service.

Second vote for Ikos hotels.

We stayed at the Valomar in Dubrovnik (there are a couple - it was the 5* one). Easy bus into town so you didn’t feel stuck in the hotel. I liked it. Usually we do s/c.

Cap Eden Roc or Belles Rives on Cap D'Antibes.
Villa Sant'Andrea in Taormina
Lots to choose from in Northern Sardinia, maybe the Romazzino
Ischia Blu Resort

I am at an Ikos resort at the moment. It is by far the best I have been to. Everything is quality and the service is outstanding.
the food is amazing.
there are always loungers available at every pool too
