I am about to book the Iberostar Jardine Del Sol hotel in Majorca on an all inclusive basis. Has anyone stayed here before and can tell me if upgrading to the star prestige package is worth the money when you are already booking all inclusive? Reading TA isn’t really helping me decide! Thank you. Hol

Yes I stayed there a couple of years ago.
Several of the Iberostar have a SP option. It gives different privileges in different hotels such as adult only pools or separate adults only restaurants.
In this case the whole hotel is adults only so it's all the same restaurant. SP rooms are in a different area but all have fabulous sea views. The main extra is the use of a separate pool.
I never bother with all inclusive as I don't drink enough for it to be worthwhile but with SP you get some snacks and drinks at the SP pool and your mini bar is restocked so actually not worth having AI as well.
It's a lovely hotel and I'd definitely go back if it wasn't in Santa Ponsa. The food was excellent and great service. It's not on a beach but you can get into the sea from some rocks to swim. If I did go again I don't think I'd bother with Star Prestige I would just book half board without SP.

I'm going here next week and have booked Star Prestige but not AI as we prefer to go out to eat at dinner and have a hire car booked. A few years ago we stayed at a similar hotel in Tenerife with red level which is like star prestige. Since you have breakfast included anyway plus free snacks in the lounge it didn't seem worth the extra money as DH doesn't drink and I only have a couple most nights when on holiday.

@TheBot - why did the Santa Ponsa part put you off going back?

@Titsywoo I didn't really like the resort, I found it a bit run down and rough.
You won't be disappointed with the hotel though.
I can recommend a lovely place for lunch nearby maps.app.goo.gl/9twS7BPxWagWAHaX6

Oh thats a shame. Is the hotel nice and quiet though? We've had a difficult last 12 months and are hoping to just relax for a week and drive out to other towns/resorts for meals. Thanks for the lunch recommendation!

Yes the hotel is quiet and is just on the edge of the resort. There's a little entertainment on in the evening but otherwise peaceful. The Star Prestige area has a heated pool and an unheated one, two bars and various sunbathing areas on grass or by the pool. There's a lovely spot with comfy chairs overlooking the bay although actually the whole hotel has brilliant views which is always a priority for me. You could easily never leave the hotel.
The resort has a nice seafront and the beach is pretty with trees. It's just parts of it. It's not far from the airport which is also a bonus.
We did a dolphin watching boat trip which was a nice day out. First pic is the hotel from the sea
