Does anyone have any tips for really useful things to take away with them when travelling. It’s just a short haul trip bit long haul too? Things that have made life easier. I have just discovered packing cubes…but late to the game but have really organised my suitcase!

A folding 20 litre bucket. Got one a few years ago before a trip to NYC. So many hotel rooms only have a shower and I wanted to soak my feet after a day of tramping around. Also doubles up as an ice bucket for chilling drinks (not at the same time as feet obviously), holding snacks, useful if you’re doing a bit of laundry and more. Unexpectedly v useful, takes up barely any space, and weighs next to nothing.

I use an empty clean cosmetic container to make my own make up remover wipes … I use Blephasol to remove eye make up and rinse eyes in am due to blepharitis flaring up. But you can use regular remover.

So use one cotton pad per evening (I fold them to get x 2 eyes from one IYSWIM) then some halves (it’s a bit anal as I stack them in the pot in order of use ☺️) soaking in tap water first then a glig of solution. Once all stacked in I squeeze a load more in for good measure. Make sure lid is securely on than in a food bag just in case of leaks. Takes up barely any space, light and o know my stupid eyes will behave ☺️
