Majorca & Menorca recommendations

Can anyone recommend a family holiday . We’re considering 1 week in Majorca or Menorca but open to other suggestions if the flight time is fairly short.

Looking for:

  • Beachfront hotel
  • All Inclusive with good food
  • Kids’ pool, splash park, slides etc
  • Suitable for a 3 year old
  • nice area good for families
  • budget 3-4k

Would love to hear any hotel recommendations you’ve personally enjoyed. Thanks!

Its not beachfront (nice area of beach is a 5 min walk) but we stayed at the viva sunrise in Alcudia and got a room with a hottub balcony. It was a great little hotel, with mini kids disco and age appropriate splash pool, that we went to with our 3 year old 3 years ago xx my tip is to book self catering and upgrade to all inclusive there as it was cheaper that way.

We took a few days trips to Puerto pollensa from our hotel too, which I really enjoyed.

I have friends who recommend Cala D'or in Majorca (I think there's all inclusive hotels there) when we were child free we had a lovely holiday there and I found some excellent little horse shoe bays full of fish to snorkel with. For Menorca I've heard good things about Royal Son Bou, not stayed there myself but stayed in Cala Galdana a couple of times and enjoy the scenery, restaurants and beaches.

Happy holiday hunting xx

We’ve booked a holiday to Majorca for a week in September with our two little ones and found a million options on Love Holidays by basically just really narrowing down the search criteria with the the spec that you’ve given. The one we found is beachfront, 10 pools (5 kids and 5 adults), good restaurant choice and we’ve booked a suite. Flight times are really decent as well. We’ve paid half that for me, my partner, our two year old and soon to be one year old so with your budget you’ll be able to get something fab!

Royal Son Bou Family Club. It’s not beach front but it’s very easily walkable to Menorca’s longest beach. The hotel is incredibly popular with families.

Royal Son Bou looks quite outdated? What did you think of the rooms?

We went a couple of years ago to Club Hotel Aguamarina in Arena d'en Castell which is Menorca. It's beachfront, got a small kids water park with a slide suitable for that age group, and only half an hour from the airport. I felt really safe in the area, it's all families and older people. The reviews of the food were patchy but I thought it was decentt! Couple of local restaurants if you wanted to mix it up though.

Ivory Playa in Alcudia - we've been 4 times over the last 16 years. Right next to the beach - sea shallow for 100s of yards out, so safe for kids; 3 great pools including a kids one; a kids club and entertainer in the evening.

Located 10 minutes away from main strip - close enough to walk, but fat enough away to be quieter. Bus stop outside the hotel where you can get to Alcudia Old Town and Pollensa.

Jet 2 do packages there as do other holiday firms, or you can book direct if you'd rather get your own flights

Zafiro Palace Alcudia. Five minutes walk to the beach, great food, lovely pools, kids club, entertainment, but still grown up enough for the adults. We went last September and we're going back at the weekend!

5minutes?

Do you mean the Zafiro Tropic ?

We had an absolutely fab holiday at the Insotel resort in Menorca. DD had just turned 4 at the time. Great accommodation, fantastic splash parks and kids activities etc. beach was a short walk away. Brilliant pools. I would definitely go back.
