Ideas for a five-day August trip with my 13-year-old son

I would like to take my 13 year old son away for 5 days at the beginning of August, please help with some suggestions. Possibilities I have been thinking of are AI in the Canaries because we are relatively familiar with it. Salou including Portaventura. Not sure about a city, we have done Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, is it too hot for sightseeing in Europe? We’d usually travel as a family of 3 but husband can’t get the time off.

Also open to any UK suggestions but concerned that will end up more expensive, could drive though.

Budget £2-2.5k

Lalandia Billund in Denmark, with a trip to the Lego House?

Futuroscope in France

It will be hot in southern Europe for sightseeing.
What about AI in Majorca? Just because a shorter flight than Canaries.
Alternatively go further North, Amsterdam with Efteling?

Thanks for the different suggestions, any more gratefully received

Exactly what I was going to suggest! No need for a car if you fly into Billund airport, everything is within walking distance. A good walk through a sculpture park from Lalandia to Lego House.

Legoland is much quieter than Windsor and has better rides and activities.

Billund is great
also Amsterdam, shouldn’t be too hot
loads to do there, lots of interesting food etc

Puy du Fou in France is perfect for this age.

Thanks, definitely looking at Bilund and Amsterdam, although not sure if the rides are exciting enough

Duinrell with beach days and a trip into Amsterdam.

Just to say I also came on to suggest Lalandia, Legoland and Lego House.
