Thinking of going to Ulcinj in Montenegro this late summer (very end August to early Sept). I've read mixed things about the beaches, though; some people say they're dirty with lots of cigarette butts etc, very busy, and you need to pay everywhere, either for sunbeds (which I'm not arsed about; I'm happy to lie on a towel) or just to use the beach at all. Others say there are lovely clean quiet coves.
Does anyone have any experience of this town and area?
