Thinking about booking a week in playa Blanca for tej October half term. Has anyone got any recommendations for a hotel or even an Airbnb.
Have never been but have heard nice things about the area and fancy a winter holiday

We stayed at the H10 Lanzarote Princess and had a great time. There are fancier places but it was perfect for us.

@TooMatchaMatcha thank you x can I ask what were the pools like, were they heated?

I stayed in the H10 White suites, nice hotel, food fine but not to my taste which wasn't a disaster - just a bit dull and a buffet, which I don't like for dinner. Had a spa that I didn't use, a few outdoor pools, one heated, but the unheated one was nearly the same temperature when I went last November. Few minutes walk from beach and marina, on a bus route that goes end to end of Playa Blanca.

I went HB because it was only £4 a night more than B&B but I had a decent late lunch out each day so just had a bit of salad and a drink in the restaurant in the evening.

TBH if I went again, which I probably would, I'd probably self cater as I was out nearly all the time walking, swimming and one day I went on a coach tour of the Cesar Manrique sites across the north of the island. I did also have a free diving experience booked, but unfortunately that coincided with a storm so was cancelled.

One is, one isn't. The heated pool is smaller but my daughter (8 at the time) adored it.

PB is a personal favourite but it has started to become very busy, even outside school holidays. We always self cater with a heated pool. I like the peace and the freedom of a villa. Dozens on Airbnb to choose from.

@fussychica thank you, I think I like the idea more of a villa or Airbnb, do you have any links to any that you've stayed in ?

We stayed at the Gran Castillo which had a heated kids pool. We liked the room set up as there were dividing doors from the lounge to the bedroom and nice balconies. They have family apartments too. I think it’s called the Gran Togoro now.

Or Jardines del Sol has 3 and 4br villas at the top of the hotel so you get best of both. The pool area is good and there mini golf etc but the restaurant wasn't great when we stayed. Lots of better places to eat in the town anyway.

Thank you everyone x I am. going to have a look over the suggestions xx

I've been a few times, always hotels. My favourite is the Iberostar Lanzarote Park. It has an adult only wing and the food is excellent.

Casas del Sol is nice as it's very central, everything on your doorstep. Communal pool. You need to look for one that's been fully renovated though as they've been there for donkey's years.
We've stayed further out more recently and have used Villalia several times they are on Airbnb or you can book direct. They were great and have lots of properties scattered around Playa Blanca.
