Please can anyone recommend a hotel on the beach and in a resort so walking distance to amenities anywhere in Spain? Thank you.

That’s a bit vague, Spain is huge and so many areas would fulfil this? Alcudia in Mallorca for example but so many options

BeachAndSea · 25/05/2026 05:11

I’m being vague so I can get lots of recommendations of particular hotels that are right on the beach and in a resort. We love the sea and pool, and don’t want a long walk with young children to shops and restaurants. Thanks.

But you're literally asking for people to suggest from (tens of?) thousands of hotels in hundreds of resorts in many areas. Any of the three Balearic islands, most of the Canaries and all of the Costas offer what you're looking for. Plus you've said nothing about your budget, what board you want, or what type of area you're looking for quiet, authentic, lively, etc etc.

You could be looking for anything between a self catering apartment in the heart of Benidorm and a suite at the Ikos Andalucia.

If you put your requirements into the Jet2holidays search function, you can select beachfront as a filter as well as anything else that you're looking for. You can also use google maps to find the local shops and restaurants.

Can you give a rough budget, beachfront hotels are usually pricey?

Donnersons · 25/05/2026 06:22

Yeah more info would be helpful because based off your OP I’d be looking at adult only hotel suggestions.
but kids? How many? How old? How many bedrooms do you need? All inclusive or self catering? How much? Do you want to stay in the hotel all week or will you want to have days out? What sort of days out? Which airport are you flying from (because you can’t necessarily get everywhere from your nearest airport).

BeachAndSea · 25/05/2026 08:26

It’s for a family with young children, not looking for very expensive, £4-5k for a week or ten days, we don’t mind the board, we are happy to go bed and breakfast or full board. We don’t drink so probably don’t need AI. Flying from any London airport.

The Cala d'Or/Cala Egos resort area in south eastern Mallorca would fit your bill then. I've heard it's rammed in high season, which is important as the beaches in that neck of the woods tend to be long and thin iyswim but I bet it'd be just right in September.

Turnitoffnonagain · 26/05/2026 15:47

Cala Millor in Majorca. We stayed at a lovely hotel, just across from a nice safe beach. Went in September with Jet2. In fact we went 2 years in a row we liked it that much.
Hotel was Cala Millor Park.

Or, as poster upthread said, if you do just want a Spanish seaside resort with beachfront hotel and nearby restaurants, Benidorm will almost certainly have something for you. There are a lot of accommodation options there and shitloads of flights to Alicante.
