Could you please suggest some ideas? I’m a single mum with two children aged ten and eleven, a girl and a boy. Last year I took them on a summer break holiday to St Malo (gorgeous beaches), and then we went to EuroDisney and then Paris via train to climb the Eiffel Tower. It was a great time and all within budget – approximately £2.5k for 9 days. The reason I was able to do this was thanks to Airbnb. I am looking for somewhere for this summer that's within the same budget, and I'd love to go somewhere where I can maybe not cook all the time, so we can either cook at home or go out. I always do this to ensure I can take my kids somewhere. I'd love a hotel-type place that allowed us breakfast or lunch, and then I can cook dinner at home or go out. All suggestions welcome. My daughter loved the cruise, so I'm happy to do this again, possibly??

Have you seen the Center Parcs villages in continental Europe? De Vossemeren is great fun, lots to see and do in the local area, and the meal options, including the buffet, are very reasonable. It's also within easy distance of Efteling if your DC enjoy theme parks. We used to take the DC on the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland, spend a week at CP and then spend the last day at Efteling on the way back to the ferry.
