Best Company for Lapland Trip 2027

Would like to take DS and DD in 2027. Both have December birthdays, DS will be turning 10 and DD will be turning 6. DS is autistic and I strongly suspect (hope!) he will still be believing in the magic.

Budget up to approx £3k to include me and DH, ideally less. Husky ride is an essential. I’ve read varying reviews so am after some direct experiences. Would prefer to be able to pay monthly but not a deal breaker. Will probably look to travel earlier rather than later, even end of November, although recommendations re timing for weather much appreciated.

And in no way, shape or form, am I as excited as the children will be 🤭

Ideally flying from Birmingham, Bristol or Cardiff, Liverpool at a push.

There are a couple of good Facebook groups I’m in ‘Lapland on a budget’ and ‘Lapland tips for Levi’ - both great and really helpful in planning a holiday. From what I gather Levi is a ski resort that also offers typical Lapland activities, sounds very authentic. Santa Clause Village in Rovaniemi is quite commercialised. Just seen you mentioned weather - from what I have learned from the groups, you’re not guaranteed snow in November. The deepest snow is in March, so mid-late December through to March is more likely to be snowy. I’ve not visited, but we’ve got a trip planned for December and cannot wait!

In that case we might go after Christmas as both children’s birthdays are after Christmas (didn’t plan that very well!)

Don’t go in November!!!! All you have to do is look at November Facebook posts to see the snow melting or late arrival. It’s just not worth it. Levi also offers more chance of snow

Either book easyJet on launch day for under £200pp or book last minute. Accommodation as cheap as £300-400. Book SC with a kitchen. Invest the rest in excursions. We love the Northern light village Santa and elves experience (go back every year).

I think my last trip for 4 nights including 2 on the sleeper train from Helsinki was under £2k including flights, apartment, train and Santa experience for 4. Huskies can be anything from £200 to £500 depending on length
