ages are fine. However, we went in august few years back and i would never go at that time again! It was red hot and we managed to go on 3 rides all day as the queues were just so huge!!!!
They do have fast pass now but thats only on certain rides and not sure how it would work at such a busy time of year.
We've also been in February and it was freezing! If we go again i'd go april time or maybe september.

twinsetandpearls · 22/06/2008 14:56

Bloody hot!

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 15:07

oooooh dearr.....

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 15:07

oooooh dearr.....

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 15:08

and I appear to be doubly worried

Sorry

twinsetandpearls · 22/06/2008 15:09

You just need to be prepared for the heat, we were just not expecting it to be that hot.

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 15:14

I guess that would be the case anywhere no?

I guess it is hte fact you are comitted to trapsing around a busy theme park for the day and have no excape to lounge in the heat.

twinsetandpearls · 22/06/2008 15:16

We would factor in a break away from the park every day, there is a large air conditioned shopping mall not far away that we would have dinner in.

Get a buggy for the kids as well.

frazzledbutcalm · 22/06/2008 15:19

We also weren't expecting the heat to be so strong. The constant standing in a queue also made it worse. We queued for 3 hours each time for a ride, it was awful. February was much quieter, queues up to 40 mins

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 15:22

We will only be there for 1/2 days at the end of our holiday. DD3 will deffo be in buggy. I think my 7yo's can cope without ...I might get one for DP and I and we can take it in turns

We are staying near to teh shopping mall I think you are talking about. Is it really worth getting out to that for lunch? I have heard food is expensive...but is the travel to the Mall worth it?

I have also heard that there is a reasonable attraction in/near the mall. Is it an aquarium or ball pool place (my minds gone blank). Is that worth a visit as we may do that on day 1 when we have travelled upo from coast and then just 1 day in Disney.

ProfessorGrammaticus · 22/06/2008 15:27

We took food in. I know there are signs saying not to (and I am normally a real stickler for rules) but the only available food was crap and very expensive. Most people we saw had sandwiches and as long as you just sat on a bench and didn't set up a full scale picnic (and tidied up after yourself, obviously) no one seemed to object.

We went the second week of May half term. Didn't queue for more than half an hour for anything.

Love2bake · 22/06/2008 15:42

Hell - probably!

twinsetandpearls · 22/06/2008 16:12

It is not far to the mall and it feels like heaven once you get inside and the food is much cheaper.

We saw lots of people bringing food in as well.

SlightlyMadSweet · 22/06/2008 17:08

when you say not far....walkable or car/shuttle bus?

So when is the best time to go then?

hermykne · 22/06/2008 22:26

i ve been end april and it was fine, queues 30mins or so. pia for kids thou.

this question is for my friend, i think she is mad going then with kids, more the heat , there really is very little shelter unless you're on a ride. and the drinks/food thing is bad.

thanks all

We went in January! It was cold but there were few queues. We just wrapped up warmly.
